Know God

Would you like to be forgiven of all your sins; past, present, and future?

If you don’t know the saving grace of Jesus Christ and you want to invite Him

into your life, please keep reading.

1

Know You are a Sinner

Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Our human instinct is to reject the responsibility of our sinfulness. We try to rationalize it ("I’m not doing anything anyone else hasn’t done”), minimize it ("Hey, it doesn’t affect anyone but me”), or even re-name it ("There were a few errors in judgement on my part”). But God desires for us to take responsibility for our sin and turn from it.

2

Ask for Forgiveness and Repent

Repent literally means, “to turn away from.” Scripture says to repent and be converted… "that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,” Acts 3:20.

There needs to be a definite change in behavior. This will indicate whether there is a true desire to follow Christ.

God desires for us to walk holy and gives us the ability to do so.

3

Believe Jesus Died for You

The Bible tells us that Jesus paid the price “once and for all” for any who would call on Him and turn away from their sin. His death on the cross was the cost for our sin. He took our place.

In John’s Gospel, Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Not everyone goes to heaven; only those who place their faith for salvation in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

4

Let Jesus into Your Heart and Life

“But as many received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name,” John 1:12.

God does not desire for anyone to perish and has given Jesus as a sacrifice to pay for the sins of those who would trust Him with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Make that decision today. Let Christ come in and make the changes He needs to make in your life.

Pray this Prayer

Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I’m sorry for my sin. I repent of it and turn to You by faith right now. I thank You for dying on the cross for me and paying the price for all my sins. I ask You to come into my life right now and be my Savior, my Lord, and my Friend. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me be Your disciple from this moment forward.

Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

You are Saved!

You are now completely forgiven, a new creation, innocent in the eyes of God. Welcome to the family of God!

It is important for you to start to grow in your relationship with Jesus. Just like any relationship, you need to spend time with someone if you want to know them well. The way to know God is through the Bible.

It’s also important to find a church you can attend where they teach the Bible. This will allow you to talk to a pastor who will help explain questions you might have, and it will give you a chance to spend some time with other Christians who can encourage you.
