Women devoting themselves to the Word, fellowship, sharing of meals and prayer. Acts 2:42
The heart of the Women's Ministry at Calvary Chapel Kansas City is found in Acts 2:42. The instruction and vision given to the church then, and continuing to this day is simple, "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers". We desire to be obedient to the Word and create opportunities to "gather" together and engage in the four elements given to us in Acts in the same manner as the early church. Our "gatherings" are Christ-centered which causes growth in our individual journeys, which in turn strengthen our trust, faith, joy, unity, community, our church, and our witness. As we follow the instruction from the Word, we believe the Holy Spirit will be manifest in our lives to glorify the Lord Jesus in everything we do as a ministry.
The Women’s Ministry is hosting a gathering brunch and we would like to invite all of you! We want to adhere to the scriptural instruction of bringing women together in the same manner as the early church when they would enthusiastically assemble for teaching, fellowship, food, and prayer for the furthering of God’s Kingdom. Please join the women of our church as we gather on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. in FUSE for a simple meal, and meaningful conversation. Stop by the women’s table in the foyer to see the menu, sign up to attend, and possibly volunteer to bring food for the brunch. The cost is free and women 15 years and older are welcome as are any friends you would like to invite. We eagerly look forward to seeing you there!
